Mugo Pine, known as Pinus mugo, is a slow-growing evergreen tree. Its defining features include short, dark green needles and dark brown, ovoid cones, as well as rugged bark.

This is a refined bonsai in an informal upright style. It has some visible taper, branches already set in position, deadwood, trunk carvings, and interesting root flare/nebari. Developed, hard pruned, and potted, this is a healthy plant and does not need any substantial work for now beyond appropriate plant care. It is potted in a rectangular brown plastic bonsai pot, in a free-draining peat-free custom mixed soil with akadama, shredded sphagnum moss, and other aggregates.
