Buxus sempervirens, known as common box, is a moderately fast-growing deciduous tree. Its defining features include its compact leaves, twisted growing pattern, and extremely long lifespan.
This is a bonsai in a clump style. It has visible taper, branches already set in position, and interesting root flare/nebari. Developed, hard pruned, and potted, this is a healthy plant and does not need any substantial work for now beyond appropriate plant care. It will need further refining of the branches in time. It is potted in a nice white, oval, ceramic bonsai pot, in a free-draining peat-free custom mixed soil with akadama, shredded sphagnum moss, and other aggregates.
